How to Rename a File or Folder on Box

Box is a hosting service where you can upload files for free. If you want to change the name of a file or folder on Box you can do so in a few easy steps.

Login to your Box account and select a folder or file that you want to rename.Click on the down arrow to the right of a file like "Box.png in this example.

Select the "File Properties" option int he drop-down menu that appears.

Click on "General File info" in the second drop-down menu.

Delete the current name where it says "Name" and then type in a new name.

Check the new name in the main Box screen to make sure that it changed properly.
